An easy to use reading comprehension pack with three sections of differentiated questions. This activity focuses on Trump and all the crazy/interesting recent events of his presidency. It can be used in form time as part of literacy focus, or in an English lesson for KS3/4 GCSE comprehension training.

Macbeth introduction to the other protagonist. In this fully differentiated and resourced lesson we explore how Lady Macbeth is introduced and how she reacts to the letter received from Macbeth about the witches and their news. We look at key quotes from her soliloquy and decide how she would respond to her husband when he arrives back from battle.

A planning lesson for KS3 students about to sit one of the AQA Pilot Papers (Year 9 Pack 3) that are available via the eAQA section of the exam board’s website (due to copyright reasons we can’t include the extract here). Students analyse each question carefully and are given tips for being successful, preparing them before they complete the assessment in the next lesson.

Charge of the Light Brigade by Alfred Lord Tennyson is a fantastic piece that conveys ideas of patriotism, bravery and heroism. This fully differentiated and resourced ‘ready to go’ lesson on Tennyson’s Charge of the Light Brigade, one of the poems in the AQA Power and Conflict Poetry Anthology, with the lesson ideally suited for both KS3 and KS4 students, includes activities to help students engage with the themes and perspectives in the poem, but also allows students to start making comparisons between this poem and Ted Hughes’ Bayonet Charge.
